Hey everyone!
We want to talk to you about the importance of taking care of our planet. Our family tries to minimize garbage by reusing, not using plastic, and water bottles! One cool thing we do is join the Mackenzie's Beach Cleanup in Milford, CT. This amazing tradition was started by 4-year-old Mackenzie Powers who wanted to keep the beaches clean. Today, the cleanup is a big deal and we all play our part!
**How it started:** Mackenzie got inspired by a Nickelodeon show and wanted to make a difference. The first cleanup was funded by Walnut Beach Association.
**What it's about:** The cleanup is all about keeping the beaches clean to protect animals and the environment. We remove trash and junk to help the sea creatures and our planet.
**How it's organized:** The Walnut Beach Association and The Clean Earth Project work together to host the cleanup. Anyone can join, and we get all the tools we need to clean up!
**When it's held:** Usually in May 4 from noon to 2 PM before summer break. Come join us and let's make the Earth a cleaner place together!
Remember, no matter how old you are, you can make a difference. Let's be planet protectors like Mackenzie and keep our Earth clean and happy!
